The best paper for calligraphy should possess two main properties.
Firstly, to work well with the pen there should be a ‘tooth’ between the writing
implement and the writing surface. Secondly, to work well with the ink the
paper should be neither too absorbent nor too shiny.
The
calligraphy and LetteringArts Society
is delighted to endorse these
two new calligraphy pads which contain paper that has been tested and found
to be the best available for the purpose.
Inside the front cover of the Layout Pad is a ‘Starting Calligraphy’ guide
which looks at the Foundational Hand while inside the front cover of the
Cartridge Pad there is a ‘Starting Calligraphy’ guide which focuses on the
Italic Hand. These are useful for both tutors and Learners.
